Russian-bred Arabians enjoy a preeminent reputation internationally because of the objective rigor of their selection process, which, as in Poland, includes systematic race-training of all individuals.  Racing tests soundness of limb and mind, and over time identifies the genetic basis of speed.  *STATISTIC's pedigree reflects a remarkable concentration of superior equine athletes.

Its centerpiece is a line breeding on the genetic giant Priboj, a Polish-Crabbet hybrid, whose offspring hold 80 percent of all Russian race records.  Podruga, an example of the potent Priboj-French outcross, holds Russian speed records for fillies at 1200, 3000, and 3200 meters.  Topol, out of the French-English-Polish Taktika, was a famed racehorse, winning the Triple Crown of three-year-old stakes race at 1600, 2400 and 2800 meters.  His full-brother, *Pietuszok, became a legendary race-sire in Poland, with a big American impact through his son, *Orzel, and grandson, *Wiking.  The bottom of the pedigree is again pure racing stock, featuring a triple line breeding on the Hungarian-Polish Kohelian I through Semen, Piolun, and Skrzyp.  *Statistic's dam, *Statistika, one of a handful of Topol daughters still alive, has been an outstanding producer of breeding and race horses.  The top of the pedigree is a huge outcross to the Egyptian stallion Aswan, utilized by the Russians for his great contribution to Arabian type, but whose sire, Nazeer was also a dominant racehorse. 

*Statistic's sire, Patron, reflected the beauty of Aswan, winning the Dutch National Championship three times, but was also a fine racer with stakes wins in the St. Leger (2800) and Comparison(2400 m.).  His many champion sons are known internationally.

*STATISTIC himself is a tall (15.2+), leggy, flat-muscled athlete, with the fine-skinned dry refinement and exceptional charisma of his sire.  His beauty and type have earned him Reserve Regional and Scottsdale Top Ten championships.  His most striking conformational feature is a long clean shoulder with commensurate upper arm, reminiscent of great Thoroughbreds.  That, along with a fine straight hock, gives him exceptional length of stride.
